Minx bought her first pair of Lobster Mitts from a small shop in Moab. The purpose of this story is of course to name drop Moab, but the time since (over ten years since you ask), and the fact Moab has damnably cold morning starts in October serves to illustrate both how well made they are - and how warm.

If you always have frozen hands, the split mitt construction could be the saviour in glove form that you've been looking for. Grouping the fingers in this way keeps them nearly as warm as a mitten but with more dexterity and flexibility so that shifting isn't a problem.

The outer is a smooth softshell fabric that affords both wind and water protection as well as warmth - even more cosy comes in the form Primaloft insulation. Primaloft is a material that is incredibly warm for its weight and if it gets wet, it dries fast. An extra degree of protection comes courtesy of a waterproof insert and reflective trim adds visibility.

The palm is beautifully soft Pittards leather, and there's a girl's best winter-cycling friend, a generous snot wipe on the thumb. Really Minx can't speak highly enough of the quality and warmth of this glove...
