Now Minx knows that classic bike shorts can be a scary call (hey there's a reason she spends an inordinate amount of time seeking the perfect short for 'sporty thighs you know...) but for long road rides, 24 hour races and technical trails, Lycra can't be beat. It helps support your muscles, minimises fabric chafing, won't catch on the saddle- and is generally less fatiguing to wear. Simply put, more money gets you more panels, articulated cuts and more highly specified padding - and if you're putting the miles in it really is worth investing as much as you can afford. That said Minx is fanatically fussy and doesn't stock any shorts that she wouldn't be happy to wear any day of the week - so email for advice if you're not sure. Because there really is a short for everyone...
